Battle over Earth

The year is 4999 and by the turn of the century, darkness will take a new fold. After the great war between the angels and demons, the demons took flight toward Earth. After centuries of battling with the heavenly creatures and abiding by the laws of humans they're anger began to stir as they began to plot on taking over Earth and turning it over to complete darkness, making it a new domain for the dark beasts of the universe.
It has been over a century since then and with the humans all slain and the demons ruling Earth, these heavenly creatures grow weary of these demons as they take flight toward Earth to stop it from falling into eternal darkness.
The war of these heavenly beings and those of the dark, goes back centuries if not a milenia, but none of those wars has had such high stakes. The battle is not only for the sanctum of Earth, but also for they're existence and the control of the other race as it would be put down as the lower beings.

Okay, here's a list of examples for creatures on the good and evil side.

Creatures of the light: Angel, Pegasus, unicorn, witch, sorcerer, sorceress, centaur, gryphon's, dragon, faeries, pixies, elementals, and etc.

Creatures of the dark: Vampires, lycanthropes, harpies, wraiths, gargoyles, witches, necromancers, lamias and etc.

Werewolves and vampires aren't considered human they are more considered of another race since they're blood has been tainted. You can be on the demon or the angel side and you may even have a pet like a chimera or a gargoyle or whatever. You don't have to use a race that I listed those are just examples.

Character roles

The angel and the army both have different ranks for those who are the best warriors. Their rankings are the same on each side.

-there are five generals on each side who control the armies
-soldiers are those who go into war
-cannon fodder, those who are sent in before the soldiers basically as needless sacrifices to stall time
