Hail, Worthy Heroes. Leave Us Alone

Background: The world is as it should be. People live peaceful lives. Trouble brews. Chaos is quenched by the hands of fearless heroes. This has been going on for generations. As far back as the beginning of civilization, these heroes have been dominating our well-being and placing fear in the heart of our people. Whenever a decent fellow concocts a plan to take over an unsuspecting small village, some hero has to swoop in and smite him. Whenever a seductress lures men away from their homes and into her lair to have them do her bidding, a hero barges in the scene and slaps her. The rest of the world views these deeds as heroic acts and that they are for the greater good. As much as we need heroes to combat our forces, generating revenue with each encounter, their current level of increased success is placing a strain in the villain economy. There is some sort of sinister force that is making things easier for the heroes. While some of the more noble heroes choose to foil our people's plans the traditional way, other would-be newcomers have made names for themselves by taking advantage of this unknown source. There are traitors amongst us. Someone or some group is providing valuable information to the heroes, thereby cutting down our numbers and significantly reducing our resources. It seems that their goal is to eliminate us indefinitely, which would bring about more chaos than any of us villains can ever hope to achieve. While that may seem like an optimum goal, that would also mean the doom for us all.

Story: You there, young villain-in-training. You have been brought here and selected from each of your respected societies to find the source of this unknown saboteur. We can all tolerate some level of evil. In fact, most of us like evil. However, this interference with our affairs and allowing heroes to vanquish our brethren is inexcusable. Your goal is laid out for you. Simply put, stop them. Use whatever force or abilities to your liking. Take advantage of the weak hearts of civilians. Exploit heroes' secrets and blackmail them for your benefit. Kill a kitten or two. Our main objective is to restore balance between the heroes and villains so that we can conduct our fair share of evil while they carry on with their prancing about and being loved by the towns. Join forces with others if you wish or just go about it in your solitude. Our numbers are dwindling with each passing second, so gather your things and move along!

Rules: There are no specific rules, per se. You must fill out the character form. This will be a regular fantasy type of an RP. The races are anything from classic fantastical elements. As my RPs go, the less canon the better. Instead of choosing to be a drow rogue who uses knives, a harpy bard with a sledgehammer would be more entertaining. You cannot use that example. Unlike most would have you believe, any race can be a villain. It is the individual who chooses the path of villainy, not the upbringing. And now, for the character sheet.
