Olympian Champions!

Ok so I've had this idea for a very long time, probably nearly a month now. Since I'm on a creativity binge lets get this done finally. Unlike most RPs this will actually start. This RP will start when I have 3 people signed up within 5 days, whichever one comes first.



Life was good for the Greeks. Winter was coming to close and soon Persephone would be leaving Hades's side to return to her mother's (Demeter) side and bring about summer. Mount Olympus, home of the gods and goddess of the Greek faith, watched over all of Greece, protecting it's people. The supreme ruler of all these deities and the heaven Zeus was a wise and powerful leader that ever since he conquered the threat of the titians long ago, had kept a relative peace throughout all of Greece and it's people.

But there is a threat that none, not even the wisest seers, could foretell would come. There was a titian that survived, a very powerful and dangerous one that lay hidden in deep slumber. His name is Chialox (Χάος) and is the unpredictable titian of chaos and anarchy. Upon finding out what happened during his slumber and careful observation of the current events he arrived at Mount Olympus dramatically and declared that all the gods and goddess should be ashamed of them selves and how weak they are. He taunted them saying how pathetic it was that they were so neglectful of their worshipers. He challenged all the gods that the one able to claim Mount Olympus could reclaim there home there and the one to defeat him could take the throne of Olympus that Zeus formally held but that they would not be able defeat him by there self. Then with a swift of his arm he banished all the major gods and goddess from Mount Olympus and stripped them of a majority of there divine powers leaving them in mortal bodies capable of death. The rest of the minor deities were caged up by Chialox at Mount Olympus for his amusement. Hermes was the only one spared from these fates, as Chialox made him into his servant. He then went to the Underworld and banished Hades and Persephone to Gaia (earth) with the same deal of being able to rule Mount Olympus.

Shortly after be bounded to human flesh, the deities realized they could could gain strength and power from there worshipers prayers. Seeking out the support of there mortal followers and began a quest to reclaim Mount Olympus and become supreme ruler. Zeus thought all his fellow deities would aid him reclaiming the throne, he was shocked to find out that nearly all his comrades had betrayed him in hopes of conquering his throne for themselves.

Now the loyal motel followers of these deities must do all they can to ensure that there patron deity safety and goals are met. There has been a better time for humans to achieve divine favor and power.

The list of patron deities are below. Includes what they stand for and who fellows them. Note that in () is there Roman name, this is only for a better frame of reference if you are more familiar with that pantheon, in the RP the Greek names shall stay consistent.


* Zeus (Jupiter): Supreme ruler of all gods. God of the sky and thunder. Symbolized by the thunderbolt, eagle, bull, and the oak. He is on a quest to reclaim his rightful throne on top of Mount Olympus before any of his rivals steal it. He is worshiped by strong leaders.

* Hera (Juno): Goddess of Marriage, famed wife of Zeus. The cow and peacock are scared symbols of her. After several long centuries of having vicious jealousy due to Zeus's constant cheating on her with other women, she has decided to get revenge! She plans to steal Zeus's throne as Supreme ruler and turn the entire Greek society into a strict matriarchy so women can be in charge as the more worthy gender. She is favored by the people of Argos. She is worship by strong leader-type women who want power.

* Poseidon (Neptune): God of the sea and earthquakes. Symbolized by horses and the trident. Brother of Zeus that feels he deserves the supreme throne more the Zeus, he quests for the throne and once he has it he plans top make people respect the sea more. Many port cities and small islands favor him. He is worshiped by sailors, pirates, and fishermen.

* Hades (Pluto): God of death and the underworld. Sometime symboled by the 3-headed dog , Cerberus, that guards the gates of the underworld. Although it is commonly misinterpreted, Hades is not an evil god. Though his very grim and passive. Since Persephone was still in his domain when Chialox banished them to mortal form, she has remained with Hades despite it being the time for her to return to her mother Demeter. Hades's only ambition fort wanting to become supreme ruler is so that he can change the rules so that Persephone never has to leave him and is always by his side. He is worshiped by those that fear death excessively, miss a loved one, or believe they can gain power by using death against there enemies.

* Demeter (Ceres) Goddess of grain and fertility. symbolized by corn. After being banished to mortal form she realized that Hades still had her beloved daughter, Persephone, and that he had no intention to give her back. Despite how it should be spring time by now the land has remain barren and cold due to Demeter's grief and rage! She is on a quest to find the mortal Hades and slay him! Forever more returning Persephone to her side. She is favored by rural farming areas. She is worshiped by farmers and loving mothers.

* Aries (Mars): God of savage war, blood lust, and slaughter. Vultures and dogs are sacred to him. His quest is to murder all opposing deities and claim the supreme throne turning the world into one filled with constant war and death where only the strong survives. He is favored by the people of Sparta. He is worshiped by warriors and barbarians.

* Athena: Goddess of strategic war and wisdom. She is on a quest to conquer the supreme throne so she can improve the lives of all. Also she is determined to end her brother's, Aries, rampage. She is favored by the people of Athens. She is worshiped by philosophers and tactical commanders.

* Apollo (Apollo): God of light, healing, the sun, and the arts. Although he doesn't openly oppose Zeus, he made a bet with his twin sister, Artemis, to see which one could regain the supreme throne. If he does gain the throne he plans to fill the world with art and make it a better place. He is favored by the people of the island Delos. He is worshiped by artists, medics, and archers.

* Artemis (Diana): Goddess of maidens, virginity, hunters, and the moon. Dear and cypress are sacred to her. Although she doesn't openly oppose Zeus, she made a bet with his twin brother, Apollo, to see which one could regain the supreme throne. If she does gain the throne she plans to make the world a safer place for young maidens. She is worshiped by chaste maidens and fierce hunters.

* Aphrodite (Venus): Goddess of love, lust, and beauty. Myrtle, dove, sparrow, and swan are sacred to her. Disgusted by this ugly world she wishes to use her several talents to trick her way into the supreme throne. Once there she shall fill the world with endless love and beauty. She is worshiped by hopeful lovers, lustful bodies, and admirers of beauty.
